The tree has now been cleared by our contractors and the navigation is now open, thank you for your patience.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (3pm Friday 29 September 2023 until further notice)
A tree has fallen across the navigation between Crowther Footbridge and Lock 8, Cromwell blocking the waterway to boat passage. The towpath is unobstructed and open.
Our vegetation contractors have been notified and will clear the tree as quickly as possible allowing navigation to reopen. However, it is likely to be Saturday 30th September before they can get to site to undertake this task.
Canal and River Trust apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
This notice will be updated when the tree is clear and the navigation reopened.
