Lock 7 Firepool
RESTRICTION (10am Tuesday 12 July until 4pm Wednesday 13 July 2022)
We wish to advise that the Environment Agency have commissioned essential work to inspect their stop gates located at Firepool lock.
This work will be carried out by their contractor, Land & Water, on 12th & 13th July.
The work involves the gates being lifted out of the water and refitted with the assistance of divers.
For everyone’s safety, there will be periods between 10am – 4pm when the lock will be closed for certain tasks to be completed.
We would like to advise you that there could be delays of up to a maximum of 3.5 hours, although the contractors will work to make the site safe to allow passage and minimise delays.
Please moor safely before the bridge & lock and contractors on site will be able to advise you of timescales and work to keep delays to a minimum
