NAVIGATION CLOSURE (8am-12noon Thursday 13 July 2023)
We’re having to carry out an investigation at Curdworth Lock 3 on Thursday 13th July. A hole has appeared in the bottom end towpath side of Lock 3. An investigation is needed as to why the hole has appeared & to gather any evidence to find out if the culvert below has collapsed.
We’re therefore looking to close the lock for 4 hours, between 8am and 12noon. The team will be draining the pound between Locks 3 & 4, so they can enter and investigate. Once the investigation has been completed, a repair will be made if it is not a structural failure.
