The boat has been moved, navigation open.

Contractors will attend site to recover the boat Friday morning (24/11/23) so we’re hoping to have navigation open by midday.
Update on 22/11/2023:
Our reactive response team attempted to lift out the boat today, but unfortunately were unable to do so. We have therefore asked our contractors to attend. As soon as we receive confirmed dates from our contractors, we will update the notice.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (12noon Tuesday 21 November 2023 until further notice)
We’ve had to close navigation between Drayton Swing Bridge & Drayton Brick Bridge on the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal. This is due to a sunken boat blocking navigation.
Our team have been out to assess the situation and efforts are underway to contact the owner. The team will continue to monitor the situation for any obvious signs of pollution.
