Foot/cycle bridge construction, New Islington

Please be advised third party contractors will be onsite at the foot/cycle bridge construction, New Islington on the Ashton Canal.
The third party contractors, working on behalf on Manchester MBC will be undertaking a ground penetrating radar survey of the offside mooring landing associated with Lock 3. These works are preliminary investigations associated with the proposed new cycle bridge planned to be constructed later in the year.
Whilst navigation and towpath will remain open, we politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and be prepared to wait (no longer than 30 mins) if necessary. Please take note of the signage and to listen to any advice that may be given by the third party contractors onsite.
