Applying for energy payments in Buckinghamshire

LIVEABOARD boaters in the Buckinghamshire Council area have until May 31 to apply for a £400 non-repayable energy payment through the Energy Bills Support Scheme.

Residents on the following moorings can apply: Aylesbury; Soulbury Three Locks (Leisure); Marsworth (Towpath); Cooks Wharf (Pitstone); Seabrook Lock Leisure (Cheddington); Circus Field Basin (Aylesbury); College Road (Aston Clinton); Marlow Lock moorings; Uxbridge Leisure; Denham Marina;  Bourne End Marina and Pitstone Wharf Marina.

To apply, residents need an email address, phone number (if they have one), and bank account details – a UK current account in the claimant’s name. If not registered for Council Tax,#grants residents will need to upload proof of address, such as a bank statement or tenancy agreement, as part of their application.

Updates about the progress of the application will be given by email or letter within six weeks and if eligible, the council will arrange a one-off payment that does not need to be repaid.
