Funding secured for next phase of ecology park

LICHFIELD and Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust has secured a £250,000 grant from Biffa Award for the next phase of its Darnford Moors Ecology Park project. LICHFIELD & Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust attended a very special dedication of a memorial tree. A 2.5m rowan stands tall on the route of the Lichfield Canal near the footpath linking Longbridge Road to Tamworth Road in Staffordshire and is dedicated to Margaret Cross by her family. She died of motor neurone disease in 2020.…
