Bridge 20, Coxhead Swing Bridge We are pleased to advise our contractors have managed to make temporary repairs to Coxhead Swing Bridge and it is now open again. Johnsons Hillock Services We are pleased to advise the pump out at Johnsons Hillock Customer Service Facilities has now been repaired and is back in operation. Please be advised the pump out remains out of operation at Johnsons Hillock Customer Service Facilities due to a fault with the pumps. Guillotine Lock Parts have been ordered to repair the gearbox and it is now expected to be fixed and operational next week. This notice will be updated as we receive additional information. The gearbox was removed on Saturday to identify and source the parts needed to rebuild the gearbox. Once the parts are available, the gearbox will need to rebuilt and returned ready for the installation. Should there not be any delays to the repairs, the gearbox should be returned and installed towards the end of this week. The notice will be updated with any further information that we receive Scaffolding will be erected at the guillotine Lock on Thursday morning. Engineers will be carrying out investigative work to find out what the fault is and what is needed to be done to repair the guillotine lock. Chester We are pleased to advise navigation has resumed at Northgate Locks, Chester on the Shropshire Union Canal following a successful repair to Lock 3 by our specialist contractors. Our contractors have attended Lock 3, Northgate Locks, Chester today to attempt a temporary repair, unfortunately this has been unsuccessful, and navigation remains closed. We are now looking in to an alternative method of repair and an update will be provided by Tuesday 20 June. Unfortunately, we have not been able to carry out a repair to Lock 3, Northgate Locks on the Shropshire Union Canal today. Following further inspections, specialist contractors are required. An operative from the Rodley Bridge Management Company will be on site between 8am and 5pm to assist boaters. Passage outside of these times will not be possible.
