Bramwith Customer Service Facilities Closed Contractors have attended and the Men’s toilet is now open. Keadby Ladies Toilets Now open Contractors have attended the toilet is now open. Starts At: Bridge 67, Redditch Road NAVIGATION CLOSURE (10am Saturday 15 July 2023 until further notice) There is a large tree block the navigation and the towpath in between bridge 66 and 67 the contractors have been informed we will update the notes with an estimated time for removal of the tree Dam and temporary works in canal being removed with some divers present in water TOWPATH CLOSURE (Monday 17 July until Friday 21 July 2023) Divers in water to aid removal of temporary portadam adjacent to gasholder site. Navigation to remain open. SR-013-001 The gate has now been repaired and navigation is now open. ADVICE (10.30am Saturday 15 July 2023 until further notice) The top gate at Feakes lock No 7 has been damaged and this means the lock cannot be used until the top gate has been repositioned and repaired. Bridge 10, Longford Bridge The tree has been cleared. NAVIGATION CLOSURE (Monday 17 July 2023 until further notice) A tree has fallen, blocking navigation at Bridge 10 on the Coventry Canal. Our contractors have been asked to attend today. We will post a further update as soon as we receive one. Nash mills Navigation now open. Work to clear the fallen tree has been completed. NAVIGATION CLOSURE (4.30pm Saturday 15 July 2023 until further notice) A Fallen tree from off side is blocking navigation to all craft between bridge 156 and Lock 69 Nash mills, our contractor has been informed for clearance, further updates to follow Lock 45 – Birstall Lock Our maintenance team has completed the works at Birstall Lock and successfully carried out the required repairs. Boaters can now proceed through Birstall Lock as normal. We appreciate that there are a small number of boaters currently stuck between the unplanned emergency closures of Kilby Lock and Birstall Lock. If any of the affected boats require water, there is a water point at Friar’s Mill visitor moorings that can be used. Our maintenance team will be on site tomorrow to remove the top gate and begin work on the required repairs. They aim to complete the works by Tuesday 25th July, and we will update the website accordingly. NAVIGATION CLOSURE (Monday 17 July 2023 until further notice) Due to damage of the top gate at Birstall lock 45, on the River Soar, the navigation is closed at this lock. Our engineers will arrange a site visit to assess the damage and plan in the necessary repairs. We will update the website on Tuesday 18th July with further information following the visit of our engineers. Lock 38, Northbrook Lock Navigation and towpath available. Swingbridge 11, Huntworth ADVICE (11.30am Monday 17 July until 6pm Thursday 17 August 2023) Please be advised that contractors on behalf of Somerset Council will be carrying out emergency repairs to the Swingbridge. The canal and towpath will remain open but the area should be approached with caution. Bridge 95A, Tod’s Bridge Following the notice below, we are pleased to advise that the navigation is now clear at Bridge 95A, Tod’s Bridge, and the large tree has been removed. NAVIGATION CLOSURE (1pm Sunday 16 July 2023 until further notice) Please be advised that navigation is closed at Bridge 95A, Tod’s Bridge due to a fallen tree. Contractors are mobilising to site and hope to have it cleared as a matter of urgency. We will update this notice when more information becomes available.
