Barton Lock 

UPDATE (Wednesday 17 April 2024)

We managed to access the site and cleared the lock and entrances and the lock is navigable as of Wednesday 17/04/24.

Ely pump out water point

Update on 15/3/2024:

The Navigation Notice issued on 4^th March 2024 regarding Ely Pump Out Water Point is now rescinded as it has been repaired.

ADVICE (Monday 4 March 2024 until rescinded)

Please be advised that due to a leak the water point at Ely Pump Out is unusable.
We are looking to get this repaired as soon as possible.

Hermitage Lock

EMERGENCY CLOSURE (Wednesday 13 March until Friday 15 March 2024)

The recent wet weather has resulted in the failure of one of the hydraulic power pack foundation pads. This requires urgent attention to ensure continued operation of the lock through the coming boating season. These repairs will be carried out between the 13th and 15th March 2024. The lock will be inoperable during this period.

Yarwell Country Park

Although it is not causing an obstruction, please navigate with caution whilst in this area.

Nr Begwary Brook, Wyboston

ADVICE (Tuesday 5 March 2024 until rescinded)

Please be aware we have received a report of several trees in the river near Begwary Brook, Wyboston on the river Great Ouse
We will look into this report as soon as it is safe and practical to do so but in the meantime if navigating in this area please proceed with caution.

Works to repair Chertsey Lock have been completed.

Chertsey Lock breakdown 2023: the lock is closed so that contractors can undertake repairs.

Riverside Mill, Godmanchester, Huntingdon

Updated 1/03/2024:

Reported obstruction notice issued on 28 February 2024 for a floating boat near Godmanchester is now rescinded as the boat is no longer at this location.

Please be aware we have received a report of a boat that has broken free from its mooring and floated along the river, coming to a stop by a tree in the Riverside Mill area of Godmanchester, Huntingdon.

Please be aware that the safety boom at Chowns Mill Sluice has been damaged during the recent floods and is awaiting repair.

Bottisham Lock

ADVICE (Thursday 22 February 2024 until rescinded)

Please be aware of a sunken vessel downstream of Bottisham Lock.We will liaise with the vessel owner and arrange removal as soon as it’s practical to do so, and river levels have stabilised.
