A REFURBISHMENT project is under way to significantly enhance the facilities at Aquavista’s Buckden Waterside & Marina on the River Great Ouse near St Neots in Cambridgeshire.

The major investment, due for completion around now, sees the refurbishment of the existing showers, toilets, laundry and marina reception as well as installation of a dog wash facility. There will be additional works to improve the general aesthetics of the marina.

Aquavista has also recently announced a new type of mooring at Buckden. Traditionally a leisure-only marina, moorers can now choose a new High Use Premium mooring which allows them to make Buckden their permanent base and stay seven nights a week on their boat. The package also comes with a post box, storage box, free weekly laundry and monthly pump out.

Regional operations manager Sean Drury said: “We purchased Buckden in December 2021 as part of our acquisition of Castle Marinas. It’s a beautiful marina in a stunning location, but the facilities were lacking. We’re delighted to have started these works and launch High Use moorings, which will transform the marina and really enhance Buckden’s reputation as a fantastic place for our moorers to spend time on the water.”
