RESTRICTION (7am Monday 20 February until 6pm Friday 24 February 2023)
Following a recent dive survey of our safety gates, a large collection of debris was noted in the invert at Worcester Bar in Gas Street Basin, Birmingham.
To ensure the future operation of the safety gates, this material is planned to be dredged into hoppers and removed from the canal at Icknield Port.
With good sight lines to the Mailbox and through Broad Street Tunnel, delays should be kept to a minimum but please bear with us while the hopper is moved from the narrows.
There may be delays of up to 20 minutes. Works will commence Monday 20th February and are expected to finish Friday 24th February.
