Ends At: Bridge 66, Bittell Farm Lane

Please be advised we have quite extensive Floating Pennywort present on the Worcester & Birmingham Canal between Alvechurch and Lower Bittell.
We are kindly asking boaters to avoid travelling through the clumps, where possible.
The Trust are trying to tackle this invasive species by using biocontrol. A Weevil has been released along this canal and monitoring is on-going. A video demonstrating how the Trust are tackling this can be found here:
