Update on 08/02/2023:
Please be advised third-party contractors will be onsite between Winnington Swing Bridge and Salterford Large Lock on the River Weaver for additional site investigations.
The towpath will remain closed until 15th February and a diversion route will be put in place via Runcorn Road and local footpaths
Whilst the navigation will remain open and we politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and be prepared to stop if necessary.
Please take note of the signage and to listen to any advice that may be given by the third party contractors onsite.

Please be advised third party contractors will be onsite between Winnington Swing Bridge and Salterford Large Lock on the River Weaver.
The third party contractors will be carrying out site investigations on both sides of the river to support the design of the proposed new bridge at Winnington.
Whilst the navigation and towpath will remain open and we politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and be prepared to stop if necessary.
