Lock 6, Woodnook Lock
Update on 12/09/2023:
Divers attended site today and replaced a number of worn bolts on the sluice paddles and the lock is now operational again.
Update on 06/09/2023:
Unfortunately, our contractor has been unable to assemble the full dive team required to undertake the dive safely on Thursday 7th September 2023.
The earliest available date for the dive team has now been confirmed as Tuesday 12th September 2023. Diving operations will now take place on this date.
A further update will be provided on completion of the dive, and no later than 16:00 on Wednesday 13th September 2023.
Update on 06/09/2023:
A contracted dive team is booked to attend site on Thursday 7th September 2023 to attempt to remove the obstruction from the sluice.
A further update will be provided following the dive and no later than 16:00hrs on Friday 8th September 2023.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (3.45pm Friday 1 September until 4pm Friday 15 September 2023)
There is an obstruction in the upstream sluice making the lock unsafe to operate. The lock is closed.
Our engineers and operations team have attended site and have been unable to rectify the fault.
A diving inspection is being organised to investigate the issue and rectify if possible. Due to the availability of the dive team This is unlikely to take place until the middle of next week at the earliest.
