ADVICE (8am-6pm Thursday 11 May 2023)
Please be advised that third-party contractors divers will be onsite between bridge 188A and 187A on the Trent and Mersey Canal.
The third-party contractors will be carrying out an urgent inspection of the water intake chamber alongside the towpath. Divers will be in the chamber and may need to enter the canal.
Whilst the towpath and navigation will remain open, we politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and be prepared to stop if necessary.
Please take note of the signage and to listen to any advice that may be given by the third-party contractors onsite.
