Please be advised these works have been extended by three hours. The team have discovered an issue with the second paddle and are completing repairs to this whilst on site to prevent a future closure being needed. Navigation will resume today at 4pm.

Our local team will be onsite at Lock 7, Tarvin Lock on the Shropshire Union Canal to carry out essential repairs to the paddle.
The top offside paddle is inoperable and has been closed off while awaiting further investigation. Stop planks will be installed to dewater the lock to enable repairs to be carried out to the paddle and its surrounds.
We anticipate the repairs being completed within 4 hours and navigation will resume.
