Navigation reopened on the Rochdale Canal in Hebden Bridge between Lock 9, Mayroyd Lock and Lock 8, Blackpit Lock.
Water levels now back to normal level.
Padlocks now removed and boaters are free to use the locks.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (10am Saturday 3 June 2023 until further notice)
Navigation closure on the Rochdale Canal in Hebden Bridge between Lock 9, Mayroyd Lock and Lock 8, Blackpit Lock.
The closure is due to low water levels in the pound. We are currently trying to recover the levels within the pound but the locks have been padlocked up to stop any use and further loss of water.
