The locks are now open for navigation traffic to use. Water levels have been restored for passage.
Please note we will be monitoring and assessing water levels daily to keep an eye on the level of water.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (9.15am Wednesday 17 May 2023 until further notice)
Due to low water levels in the pound between Lock 9 Black Pit Hebden Bridge and Lock 8 Mayroyd navigation has been closed.
Once water levels have recovered sufficiently to enable navigation to take recommence the locks will be reopened for normal use.
