The water levels have recovered and the lock opening times have been reinstated.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (1.30pm Saturday 13 May 2023 until further notice)
Due to low water levels in the pound between Lock 9 Black Pit Hebden Bridge and Lock 8 Mayroyd navigation has been closed.
The lock gates at Lock 8 have been ashed up to reduce leakage through them. Once water levels have recovered sufficiently to enable navigation to take recommence the locks will be reopened for normal use.
