Section of offside bank near Chapel Hill
ADVICE (Monday 22 January until Monday 19 February 2024)
Update on 16/01/2024:
Due to recent flooding, works have been pushed back by two weeks.
On the 22nd January, third party contractors, Lions Environmental on behalf of East Mercia Rivers Trust, will begin carrying out fish habitat creation and bank protection on the River Witham at Chapel Hill.
The works are taking place on the offside bank. The contractors need to access a 100m long narrow strip on the offside of the river along the bottom of the flood bank to install a natural habitat/bank protection.
Navigation will remain open to boating traffic at all times, passing boats are asked to pass by the works location, slowly, and with caution.
Works will be completed by the end of the day on Monday 19th February.
