Lock 8, Holme Lock

Our maintenance team have successfully repaired the faults at Holme Lock and boaters can now operate the lock as normal. We really appreciate all our customers continued patience during this time.

Our maintenance team have been working hard, but unfortunately the fault with the lock is bigger then we expected and so further work is required.
Our team will remain on site and continue to do all they can to get the lock operational again by the end of the day.
We appreciate our customers continued patience and apologise for the inconvenience this is causing.
As soon as we have more information, we will update the website again.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (Wednesday 31 August until Thursday 1 September 2022)
Due to an unexpected hydraulic leak, Holme Lock is unfortunately out of action.
We have tried to get our maintenance team on site this afternoon, but due to circumstances out of our control, we are unable to get someone out until tomorrow morning.
Boaters are asked not to travel along this section until the lock fault has been rectified.
