We are pleased to advise navigation has resumed between Hyde Bank Tunnel and Bridge 14, Hole House Fold Bridge on the Peak Forest Canal.
Update on 22/09/2022:
Please be advised navigation remains closed between Hyde Bank Tunnel and Bridge 14, Hole House Fold Bridge on the Peak Forest Canal due to a pollution incident.
Booms remain across the canal to prevent the oil from spreading whilst our teams work alongside the Environment Agency to investigate the source.
A further update will be provided Monday 26 September.

Please be advised navigation is currently closed between Hyde Bank Tunnel and Bridge 14, Hole House Fold Bridge on the Peak Forest Canal due to a pollution incident.
Whilst investigations continue, booms have been placed in to the canal to prevent the oil from spreading. An update will be provided tomorrow afternoon, Thursday 22 September.
