Bridge 84, Fivers Bridge
Update on 17/08/2023:
To ensure boater safety during partial demolition of an offside wing wall, additional restrictions will be imposed on Tuesday 29th August, Wednesday 30th August and Thursday 31st August.
Navigation will be closed on each of these days between 8am and 10am, 11am and 1pm, and 2pm and 5pm.
ADVICE (9am Monday 21 August until 4pm Friday 10 November 2023)
We are carrying out repairs to Fivers Bridge 84 on the Oxford Canal.
This will include taking down part of the parapet walls and re-building. A scaffold will need to be erected and removed, and there may be times where there is a short-term restriction to navigation or use of the towpath during these times.
Once scaffold is erected, single passage of boats only under the bridge will be possible, but the towpath will remain fully open.
