Pitchfork Bridge
TOWPATH CLOSURE (7am Monday 6 February until 6pm Friday 10 February 2023)
Scaffolding will be installed on the towpath around the overhead water pipe west of Pitchfork Bridge to undertake emergency repairs to the pipe and the towpath will be closed underneath the bridge. However, towpath users will be able to cross the bridge anyway using the other pathway next to the section to be closed.
Navigation will remain open. Signage and banksmen will be utilised to manage canal traffic and pedestrians on the towpath. We kindly remind boating customers and towpath users to follow signage and directions given on site.
