The towpath in the vicinity of 99 Carrington Street, Nottingham
Update on 15/09/2023:
Due to an unforeseen problem, 3rd party contractors have had to extend this restriction until the 29th September.
This maintenance project requires our contractors to gain access to the roof of the property at 99 Carrington Street which is adjacent to the towpath on the Notts Beeston Canal. To facilitate this work, a scaffold measuring 4 meters in length and 1.5 meters in width will be erected on the towpath. This scaffold will be positioned 10m to the East of Carrington Street bridge.
Please note the following details:
- Access Restriction: Contractors will be on the towpath solely for the purpose of erecting and dismantling the scaffold. The access point to the scaffold for their work will be at a high level, ensuring it does not impact the towpath.
- Towpath Accessibility: The towpath will remain open for public use throughout the maintenance period. You will still have access underneath and alongside the scaffold. However, we kindly request cyclists to dismount and walk past the scaffold to ensure everyone’s safety.
- Boating Traffic: Boating traffic will not be affected by this maintenance work. Navigation will continue as usual.
