RESTRICTION (10am-3pm Thursday 25 May 2023)
In line with the Trust’s Inspection Procedures, Inspections are to be undertaken to assess the underwater condition of Bridge Structures.
The times noted above are shown as a window of opportunity to undertake the task based on teams travelling from the North.
The Task will take approx. 30 mins to complete.
A Diver will be in the water at the Bridge site noted, undertaking an inspection of the underwater structure only. Support staff will monitor the works site and the Bridge approaches for boats and other users.
Signage will be placed to both Bridge approaches, warning of the works ahead. Support staff and equipment will be located close to the Bridge site.
Additional Information:
At the sites, Boaters observing the signs and the dive support staff at the bridge will naturally slow down, but they will potentially also be asked to wait for up to 30 minutes whilst the Diver either completes the inspection, or safely moves clear of the bridge.
Towpath users will be safely guided past the works site.
