Update on 11/10/2023:
Due to recently finding some collapsed cable ducting routes on the bridge during our planned repairs, we are unable to fully re-wire and re-electrify the bridge for safe operation by the original planned date of 16th October 2023.
A revised date of 30th October 2023 is now programmed to allow this work to be completed and for the safe passage of boats to re-commence
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (8am Monday 21 August until 8am Monday 16 October 2023)
Major works will be taking place to remove and replace electrical and hydraulic components of the bridge operating systems.
The bridge will also be isolated from the national power grid, so cant be operated at all.
The bridge deck will remain in a down / closed position throughout the project, so no boats will be able to pass through the bridge during these times.
