Update on 16/10/2023:
Water levels have started coming down between Kings Lock on the Leicester Line and Redhill Lock on the River Soar. The navigation is now open and boaters can proceed as normal.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (9am Friday 13 October 2023 until further notice)
CAUTION STRONG STREAMS
We advise users of all boats not to navigate the Grand Union Canal from Kings Lock, through to the River Soar at Redhill Lock because the strong flows make it difficult and dangerous (Locks may be closed).
We will update this notice by 5pm today or as soon as more information is received.
