We are pleased to advise the tree obstructing the towpath has been removed and the towpath is now open between Bridge 114A, Enfield Bridge and Bridge 114B, Whalley Road Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
TOWPATH CLOSURE (4.30pm Monday 13 November 2023 until further notice)
Please be advised the towpath is closed between Bridge 114A, Enfield Bridge and Bridge 114B, Whalley Road Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal due to a windblown tree.
Our local team have been informed and we anticipate they will be on site tomorrow morning to remove the obstruction.
An update will be provided Tuesday 14 November.
