Repairs at Lock 25

The new dates are from the 23rd October to 30th October 2023 to carry out the grouting works.
Update on 20/10/2023:
Unfortunately, the planned grouting works has had to be postponed due to Heritage issues.
We are currently working with our Heritage Advisor to find a solution so we can have the works scheduled in again within the next few weeks.
We will reissue a new notice when we have new dates when the work will be occurring.
RESTRICTION (8am Friday 6 October until 6pm Friday 13 October 2023)
There is currently a leak located downstream of Lock 25 at the bottom of the flight of five rise Locks in Bingley on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. As part of our Leeds & Liverpool Leak Reduction scheme, we will be undertaking Grouting repairs to the leaking Lock.
The significant leak from the Canal wash wall is on the offside downstream approach wall. The leak originates in the top lock chamber and travels down the whole flight along the offside and comes out of the wall at the bottom Lock. Our contractors will be installing grout though the chamber wall to stop the leak.
Boaters will still be able to pass through the Lock however they should expect a short wait time as we will have a team working on side of the Lock trying to stop the leak.
We will provide an update on Friday 13th October at 10am to confirm that the works will be completed by 16:00hrs.
