Update on 02/06/2023:
The local team have repaired the balance beam.
It is open to both wide beams and narrow boats.
RESTRICTION (9am Thursday 1 June 2023 until further notice)
Hirst Lock has a snapped balance beam.
It is closed to passage for wide beams, but open to narrow boats as it can only be operated utilising one head gate.
