Bridge 187, Warehouse Swing Bridge
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (3pm Thursday 18 May 2023 until further notice)
The team attended site and have found a broken return spring in the hydraulic arm on this bridge.
Contractors are currently carrying out works to repair and have a new spring fabricated which is related to the cylinder that has failed.
In the meantime we are looking into a temporary repair to see if we can get the bridge back in action as soon as possible.
The bridge is currently closed to all navigation traffic but open to the road.
Bridge 187 is expected to be out of action until tomorrow afternoon.
A further update will be provided as soon as we have new information.
