We are pleased to advise the repair to Lock 63 on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal has been successful and navigation has resumed between Lock 64, Bottom Lock and Lock 58, Top Lock.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (10.30am Tuesday 2 May 2023 until further notice)
Please be advised navigation is currently closed at Lock 63 on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal due to a fault with the towpath side tailgate collar and hinge. Our local team have been to site and investigated the issue and a method of repair is being organised.
To ensure the safety of our customers, padlocks have been placed on Lock 64, Bottom Lock and Lock 58, Top Lock to prevent access on to the Johnsons Hillock flight.
An update will be provided Wednesday 3 May.
