Update on 14/02/2023:
Our local team have been to Lock 45, Top Lock and carried out their investigations. Unfortunately, we have not been able to carry out the repair to the ground paddles this time and navigation has resumed along the Barrowford Lock Flight on the Leeds & Liverpool canal. In our investigations, we have identified works that are outside the scope of our local team. We are now arranging for another team to carry out these repairs and notice of the works will be provided nearer the time. Until the repair works are undertaken, navigation is restricted to one ground paddle operation at Lock 45, Top Lock.

Please be advised due to a supplier delay with materials we have had to reschedule the works at Lock 45, Top Lock, Barrowford on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
As a result this work will now be programmed for February.
Navigation will be closed between Monday 13 February and Friday 17 February.

Please be advised our local team will be onsite at Lock 45, Top Lock, Barrowford on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal to carry out an investigation and repair to the ground paddles, to facilitate this navigation will be closed between Monday 16 January and Monday 23 January.
To ensure the safety of our customers, padlocks will be placed on Lock 51, Bottom Lock and Lock 45, Top Lock to prevent access on to the Barrowford Flight.
