We are pleased to advise the large windblown tree has been removed from the canal between Bridge 18, Lydiate Hill bridge and Bridge 19, Jacksons Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool canal and navigation has resumed.

Please be advised navigation remains closed between Bridge 18, Lydiate Hill bridge and Bridge 19, Jacksons Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool canal due to the windblown tree.
Our contractors will be returning tomorrow morning to continue their works to remove the tree.
A further update will be provided tomorrow afternoon, Thursday 27 July.
Update on 25/07/2023:
Our contractors are currently onsite removing the large windblown tree between Bridge 18 and Bridge 19 on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
Whilst works continue, navigation will remain closed and a further update will be provided tomorrow, Wednesday 26 July.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (until further notice)
Please be advised navigation is closed between Bridge 18 and Bridge 19 on the Leeds / Liverpool Canal due to a windblown tree.
Contractors have been informed and we anticipate they will be on site timeframe to remove the obstruction.
