Bridge 20, Coxhead Swing Bridge
Update on 16/09/2022:
Our contractors have received the replacement belt that is needed to repair Bridge 20, Coxhead Swing Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal and are now on their way to site.
The bridge will be repaired this evening, with navigation resuming tomorrow morning, Saturday 17 September. Signage on the bridge will be removed once repaired.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (4.15pm Thursday 15 September 2022 until further notice)
Please be advised navigation is closed at Bridge 20, Coxhead Swing Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal due to a damaged component affecting operation of the bridge.
Our contractors will be onsite tomorrow morning, Friday, at 10.30am to manually operate the bridge for any waiting boats wishing to make passage. Once boats have passed through, navigation will then close whilst we await the replacement part.
An update will be provided tomorrow afternoon, Friday 16 September.
