TOWPATH CLOSURE (8am Monday 5 December 2022 until 4pm Friday 13 January 2023)
Tesco have commissioned Genco Construction Ltd to undertake wall strengthening and rebuilding works.
A section of towpath in this area will be closed to help facilitate the works, however the diversion route in place is minimal. The section of towpath closed is between Bridges 4 & 5 on the Lee Navigation.
Towpath closure signage including the diversion route map will be made clear on towpath signage and sign posted for canal customers.
Works will stop and the towpath will be reopen over the Christmas period, then re closed early new year.
Navigation will always remain unrestricted
