Lock 72, Cobblers Lock
Update on 25/08/2023:
Further to the notice below, we are pleased to advise that the temporary repairs at Cobblers Lock have been successful and the lock is now open and fully operational.
Please follow the on site signage instructions for the correct use of this lock.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (5pm Monday 21 August 2023 until further notice)
The team have agreed plans to effect a temporary repair to the lock gates and believe the repair can be carried out without the need for dewatering the lock.
A workboat has been mobilised and will collect materials on the way.
Dependent on availability of timber from our suppliers, it is expected to be on site for work to take place on Friday 25th August.
We anticipate completion the same day and, subject to testing of the repair, hope to have with the navigation open by 5pm Friday 25th August.
