Bridge 59 – Muston
ADVICE (9am-4pm Thursday 17 March 2022)
In line with the Trust’s Inspection Procedures, Inspections are to be undertaken to assess the underwater condition of Bridge Structures.
An Operative dressed in a Dry Suit will be in the water at the bridge undertaking an inspection of the structure. Support staff will monitor the works site and the bridge approaches for boats and towpath users.
Advanced warning signage will be placed to both Bridge approaches, warning of the works ahead.
Boaters observing the signs and the Operatives at the bridge will naturally slow down and will be asked to wait for a very short period whilst the Operative either completes the inspection, or safely moves clear of the Bridge hole. Towpath users will be safely guided past the works site.
Note: The times noted above is shown as a window of opportunity to undertake the task based on teams travelling from the North. The Task will take around 1 hour to complete.
