Please be advised that the offside paddle at Lock 2 on the Glasson Branch of the Lancaster canal remains out of use, with navigation still possible using the towpath side paddle only.
The parts have been removed from site to be repaired and a further update will be provided by Wednesday 18 October.
Update on 04/10/2023:
We are pleased to navigation has resumed between Lock 1 and Lock 6 on the Glasson Branch of the Lancaster Canal.
Please note, the offside paddle at Lock 2 is currently out of use whilst we organise the repair. Navigation is still possible using the towpath side paddle only.
A further update will be provided by Wednesday 11 October.
NAVIGATION CLOSURE (9.30am Wednesday 4 October 2023 until further notice)
Please be advised, navigation is currently closed from Lock 1 to Lock 6 on the Glasson Branch of the Lancaster Canal due to vandalism.
Our local team are currently carrying out remedial repairs to the lock flight and an update will be provided by Friday 6 October.
