Bridge 4B, Pipe Bridge
RESTRICTION (Thursday 20 July 2023)
Third party contractors, Alfred Bagnalls & Sons on behalf of Cadent, will be carrying out remedial works to the overhead Gas Pipe at Bridge 4B, Burton Meadows, West of Lincoln City on the Fossdyke canal. These works are taking place between 20th July and 30th November.
Scaffolding needs to be erected over the navigation. Works methodology and access requires the use of a mobile floating pontoon & craft for transporting materials.
Delays of up to 30 minutes can be expected for passing craft to allow contractors to move pontoon if restricting navigation. Passing craft to navigate the works location slowly, with caution and in single file.
The contactors will provide towpath banksman to manage the passage of towpath users whilst the scaffold is being erected.
