The Stourbridge Navigation Trust’s popular Open Weekend is gearing up for its 41st anniversary this October – and organisers are calling on narrowboaters to help make the celebration one of the brightest yet.
Running on October 17/18 from 10am to 5pm, the rally at the Bonded Warehouse and Stourbridge Town Arm will bring together canal boats, classic vehicles, food and craft stalls, engine exhibits, a real ale bar, and Sunday boat trips. The event is designed to champion and encourage use of the historic arm, a core aim of the trust.
This year, organisers are hoping for an especially strong turnout from the waterways community. Boaters who attend will help showcase the diversity of the network, spark conversations with visitors, and keep the tradition of canal rallies alive.
