Louth Navigation Trust is inviting visitors to help celebrate the first anniversary of Austen Fen Slipway with a special community event on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
The event will run from 10am to 4pm and will offer a relaxed day by the water, with activities including live music, refreshments, ice cream, towpath walks and plenty of fun for all ages.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own paddleboard, kayak, raft or dinghy, or simply turn up and have a go. Paddleboard taster sessions are also expected to be available, kindly provided by Covenham Sailing Club, with visitors asked to watch the Louth Navigation Trust Facebook page for updates.
The trust is also inviting people to share their ideas for future projects along the canal, making the anniversary event a chance not only to celebrate progress so far, but also to look ahead to what could come next.
