Visitors are invited to Hawne Basin in Halesowen this June as the Coombeswood Canal Trust hosts its annual Open Weekend & Boat Gathering, celebrating the Dudley No.2 Canal and the work of the trust.
Taking place on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 June 2026 between 11am and 4.30pm, the event promises a packed waterside weekend featuring boat trips, live music, hot food, real ale, ice cream, children’s activities, ponies and stalls.
The event will be held at Hawne Basin, Hereward Rise, Halesowen, B62 8AW, with both admission and parking free for visitors.
Organisers say the weekend is designed to help promote the Coombeswood Canal Trust and the Dudley No.2 Canal, while offering an enjoyable family day out around the historic basin.
The annual gathering regularly attracts visiting boats and canal enthusiasts, alongside local families looking to enjoy the atmosphere at one of the Black Country’s best-known canal basins.
