Artist, illustrator and author Trevor Bounford has spent 15 months immortalising a historic journey along the Louth Navigation canal in Lincolnshire, capturing its landscapes, waterways and character through paint.

Trevor — who has previously exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts in London — has created 17 detailed line-and-wash sketches depicting key locations along the canal. These works are brought together in a beautifully produced book, which pairs the paintings with their precise locations, highlighted on a 19th-century Ordnance Survey map.
The resulting exhibition, Riverhead to Humber, is on display throughout December at the Riverhead Theatre. Original artworks, limited-edition prints, greetings cards and the accompanying book are all available to purchase.
