The new Törkmar Electrical Cupboard Solution is a meticulously designed, pre-configured package that addresses one of the most complex and often costly aspects of an electric boat build or conversion. It provides a complete, ready-to-install hub for managing a narrowboat’s entire electrical system, streamlining what can otherwise be a daunting task for self-builders and a time-consuming one for professional boat fitters.
At the heart of the solution is a carefully curated selection of top-tier Victron equipment, a brand synonymous with quality and reliability in the marine electrical sector. The package includes all necessary Victron components, robust isolator switches and a specially manufactured positive busbar, ingeniously designed to save crucial space within the often-compact confines of a narrowboat engine room or electrical locker.
However, the true innovation lies in the user-friendly design and comprehensive nature of the kit. Törkmar provides all required cables, which can be pre-cut to appropriate lengths, and all necessary lugs. Perhaps most impressively, the entire system is mounted on a specially printed backboard. This isn’t just any backboard; it features a clear ‘shadow print’ precisely indicating the position of each component. This visual guide is further enhanced by thin trace lines for all cables, complete with their specified sizes, and all requisite labelling is also pre-printed directly on to the board.
