This year’s Moira Canal Festival was another success – and next year’s date is already set.

The festival committee said: “What a fantastic weekend of entertainment, food, music, canal fun and community spirit!

“From the unforgettable performances by the D-Day Darlings and D-Day Juniors to the brilliant Morris dancers, Gun Money, Canine Partners, Si’s cowboy skills, and Paul Williams’ children entertainment, the weekend was packed with memories.

“Add in sunshine, delicious food and drink, wonderful traders and, of course, the iconic duck race, and we hope you’ll agree it was one to remember.

“A huge thank-you to our wonderful committee and tireless volunteers who work behind the scenes for months to bring the festival to life.”

​The Moira Canal Festival returns to the Moira Furnace Museum and Country Park on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, 2026. More details will be released in October – keep an eye out at www.moiracanalfestival.com
