The loose boat near Bridge 41 on the Grand Union Canal, close to Bugbrooke, is not currently affecting the navigation.
Boaters can proceed as normal.
Update on 04/10/2023:
We still await confirmation that the loose boat spotted drifting near Bridge 41 on the Grand Union Canal, close to Bugbrooke has been tethered.
Our local team have been asked to verify its status and we will update this notice as soon as the information is received.
In the meantime, we kindly ask boaters to be vigilant and proceed with caution.
ADVICE (4pm Monday 2 October 2023 until further notice)
A loose boat has been reported drifting from side to side of the canal near Bridge 41 on the Grand Union Canal, close to Bugbrooke.
Our out-of-hours team has been informed and someone will be attending site to identify and tether the boat.
We kindly ask boaters to remain vigilant while navigating this section until we can confirm that it has been secured.
An update will be provided tomorrow morning or as soon as we receive more information.
