We are pleased to advise the underwater obstruction has been removed from the canal by Litherland Services Visitor Moorings on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
Update on 29/09/2023:
The underwater obstruction remains in situ at Litherland Services Visitor Moorings on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. Our teams are now working together to assess the site to for stability and ensure a safe working environment.
The affected area has been taped off and warning signage is onsite. Please continue to proceed with caution.
A further update will be provided by Friday 6 October.
ADVICE (4pm Wednesday 20 September 2023 until further notice)
Please be advised there is a under water obstruction at the Litherland Services, Visitor moorings on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. All customers are advised to proceed with caution.
Contractors have been instructed and awaiting a planned method of abstraction.
An update will be provided on Wednesday 27 September.
